Economy Class

Fully electric chauffeur cars for airport runs and everyday city work. Quieter than a petrol sedan, and our lowest-priced class.

Economy Class, Fully Electric

Economy Class is our entry class and it is fully electric: Tesla, BYD, Mercedes-Benz EQB or EQC, BMW iX3, or an equivalent vehicle. It seats up to four and covers the same routes as Business Class at a lower price.

Best For

Why Electric Changes the Trip

An electric car is noticeably quieter at speed, and silent at a standstill, which is the part people notice at a kerbside pickup. There is no fuel smell and no vibration at idle. Across a twenty-five minute run from the airport into the city these are small things, but they add up at the end of a long flight.

Seats and Luggage

Four seated. Boot space varies more between electric models than it does between executive sedans, so luggage is the question to settle before we assign a car. An EQB takes considerably more than a Model 3. Send the passenger count and the suitcase count, and if the numbers call for it we will move you to a van instead.

Range and Long Days

For airport transfers and metropolitan work, range is a non-issue: these cars cover a full day of city runs without anyone thinking about it. For a full-day regional trip such as the Great Ocean Road, we will usually recommend Business Class or a van, so the day is not planned around a charging stop.

Corporate Travel and Emissions Reporting

A growing number of companies now report on the emissions of staff travel. If that applies to you, ask for Economy Class when you book and we will confirm the vehicle type on the booking so it can be recorded. Our corporate page covers how accounts and invoicing work.

Economy or Business Class?

Business Class is a full-size executive sedan and stays the right choice for client-facing work where presentation carries weight. Economy Class does the same journey in a quieter car for less money. Both are driven by the same chauffeurs to the same standard.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which cars are Economy Class?
Fully electric vehicles: Tesla, BYD, Mercedes-Benz EQB or EQC, BMW iX3, or an equivalent. You book the class and we confirm the model available for your date.
How many passengers and bags does it take?
Four seated. Luggage capacity varies more across electric models than across executive sedans, so send the suitcase count with the passenger count and we will assign a car that fits both.
Is it less comfortable than Business Class?
Quieter, in fact. The difference is presentation and rear space, not ride quality. For a client pickup where the car is part of the impression, Business Class or above still makes more sense.
Will the car run out of charge?
Not on airport or metropolitan work; these cars cover a full day of city runs. For a full-day regional trip we will steer you towards Business Class or a van so the day is not built around a charging stop.
Can I request an electric car for company emissions reporting?
Ask for Economy Class when you book and we will confirm the vehicle type on the booking, so your travel record shows what actually turned up.
Is Economy Class cheaper?
It is our lowest-priced class. The quote still comes back as one fixed, all-inclusive figure before you book.
