Wedding Cars and Chauffeurs in Melbourne
A wedding booking is a timing problem before it is a car problem. The ceremony has a fixed start, the photographs need light, and the reception has a room booked from a certain hour. We plan the day backwards from those three points.
The Usual Shape of the Day
Most bookings cover a pickup from where the wedding party is getting ready, a timed arrival at the ceremony, photographs at one or two locations, then the reception. The vehicle is held for the whole block, so there is no gap where the car has gone elsewhere and needs recalling.
One Chauffeur, One Day
The same chauffeur stays with you throughout. That gives you a single person who knows the schedule and the locations, instead of a new driver arriving at each stage and the plan being explained again.
Photographs
The Royal Botanic Gardens, Fitzroy Gardens, the Carlton Gardens and the Yarra promenades are the locations we are asked for most. Each has its own parking and access constraints, and a chauffeur who has done them before is worth more than the car itself on that part of the day.
The Wedding Party
Bridal cars are usually First Class. For the couple alone, the two-seat Enthusiast class puts you in a Bentley or an equivalent marque. Bridesmaids, groomsmen and family travel in a van so the group stays together and arrives at once. A ribbon for the car is $50 and a red carpet for the arrival is $75.
Guest Transfers
Moving guests between the ceremony and the reception, or back to hotels at the end of the night, is a separate booking and worth thinking about early. It is usually the part left until last.
